Breathing Difficulties
Having difficulty breathing can be a frightening experience. You may feel tightness in your chest, wheezing, coughing, or breathlessness. A urinary tract infection (UTI) occurs when bacteria invade the urethra or bladder, causing an infection. People with a UTI may experience pelvic pain, burning with urination, malodorous urine, and blood-tinged urine. When not detected and treated early, an infection of the urethra and bladder may advance to the kidneys, causing pyelonephritis, a medical emergency. Symptoms of pyelonephritis may include fever, chills, back pain, nausea, and vomiting.
