Here are just a few of the conditions we treat at Prestige ER:

Breathing Difficulties

Having difficulty breathing can be a frightening experience. You may feel tightness in your chest, wheezing, coughing, or breathlessness. Sometimes, shortness of breath (dyspnea) may be a medical emergency. If your shortness of breath is severe and interferes with your ability to function, seek emergency medical attention. At Prestige ER, our providers can quickly diagnose the cause of your dyspnea and provide rapid treatment.

Shortness of breath can have many causes, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, heart attack, and heart failure. Your provider can order diagnostic testing to determine the cause of your breathing difficulty and provide rapid treatment. Treatment may include X-rays, ultrasound, EKG, and blood tests. We are fully equipped to diagnose and treat your dyspnea. We encourage you to choose Prestige ER for rapid, top-tier treatment of breathing difficulties.

Stitches

While minor cuts or wounds may only require a Band-Aid and antibiotic ointment to heal, more severe cuts may require stitches and medical attention. These cuts may be deep, jagged, bleeding significantly, or resulting from a human or animal bite. Visit any Prestige ER location, and our experienced providers will quickly assess your cut and apply stitches and any other necessary treatment.

Your provider will ensure your cut (medically referred to as a laceration) is clean and bleeding is controlled. They may use numbing medication to control pain at the site of your injury before suturing. Depending on the cause of your cut and how clean it is, you may require a tetanus booster shot to prevent tetanus. At Prestige ER, you can expect prompt and thorough care for your cuts and injuries, from wound care to stitches. We provide a full spectrum of medical emergency services.

Allergic Reactions

An allergic reaction is your body overreacting to a harmless substance. It may be as simple as sneezing and a rash, which may only require monitoring and over-the-counter treatment. A reaction can also take the form of anaphylaxis, a medical emergency that requires rapid medical attention in an ER. At Prestige ER, we provide rapid care for emergency allergic reactions.

In anaphylaxis, exposure to an allergen (like bee venom, peanuts, latex, or medication) triggers a flood of chemicals in your body. Symptoms may include hives, dizziness, rapid heart rate, swelling of the mouth or neck, and difficulty breathing. This type of allergic reaction requires much more than allergy medicine. Anaphylaxis must be treated rapidly in an ER setting with the capability of administering critical IV medications, monitoring your breathing, and performing CPR if needed.

Urinary Tract Infections

A urinary tract infection (UTI) occurs when bacteria invade the urethra or bladder, causing an infection. People with a UTI may experience pelvic pain, burning with urination, malodorous urine, and blood-tinged urine. When not detected and treated early, an infection of the urethra and bladder may advance to the kidneys, causing pyelonephritis, a medical emergency. Symptoms of pyelonephritis may include fever, chills, back pain, nausea, and vomiting.

If you think you may have a UTI, we invite you to visit us at Prestige ER, whether your symptoms are mild or severe. Our compassionate providers will take the time to discuss your symptoms, reach a diagnosis, and provide excellent treatment. We offer a full range of medical emergency services, including ultrasound, X-ray, CT scans, IV therapy, and an on-site lab. Visit us for rapid UTI treatment.

Abdominal Pain

Sudden, severe, or prolonged abdominal pain can be extremely worrisome, especially when you aren’t sure what’s causing it. Abdominal pain is often caused by one of the following:

  • Indigestion
  • Gas and gas pain
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Food allergies and intolerances
  • Food poisoning

However, you could be experiencing symptoms of a more severe condition, like appendicitis, diverticulitis (and infection of the colon), or internal bleeding (if you’ve experienced abdominal trauma).

If you have abdominal pain that’s interfering with daily tasks along with vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or bloody, dark, or sticky stool, visit Prestige ER for emergency care. Depending on your risk factors and symptoms, our skilled providers may order diagnostic tests including blood work, urinalysis, ultrasound, or a CT scan. Once the cause of your pain is diagnosed, your treatment may include medication, antibiotics, IV fluid therapy, or surgery.

Chest Pain

Chest pain should never be ignored, especially if you have a family history of heart disease, stroke, or heart attack. Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately with any new or unexplained chest pain, or if you think you’re having a heart attack. Those experiencing a heart attack may experience pain that radiates into the jaw or left arm, shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea, or vomiting. When it comes to heart health, every moment counts.

The most common cause of chest pain is gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or chronic heartburn. However, it can also result from a muscle strain in the chest, rib fracture, asthma, panic attack, shingles, or pneumonia.

If you or a loved one is experiencing chest pain with an unknown cause, seek emergency care for the exact care you need. We offer several diagnostic services for chest pain including chest X-ray, stress, hematology, and cardiac enzyme testing.

Fracture Care

If you or your child has experienced a car accident, fall, or sports-related injury that’s resulted in pain, swelling, bruising, limited mobility, or visible deformity, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room for immediate fracture care.

These injuries can range from mild to severe, but early diagnosis and intervention are essential. Sprains and simple fractures have similar symptoms, making them difficult to diagnose without diagnostic X-ray imaging.

Whether you’re suffering from a mild to moderate sprain or strain, bone fracture, or something more serious we encourage you to walk-in to Prestige ER for fast, accurate, high-quality treatment. We provide comprehensive emergency medical services to ensure you get the exact treatment you need, exactly when you need it.

Diarrhea

Diarrhea is usually not a cause for alarm, but it can occasionally be a warning sign of a serious illness or medical condition. Most bouts of diarrhea are caused by viral infections, like the stomach flu or COVID-19. These illnesses are easily spread to children and adults through contact with contaminated food, water, or infected individuals.

If you or your child has three or more loose stools per day for two or more days, seek medical attention and rehydration as soon as possible. Other troubling signs include blood or pus in the stool, severe abdominal pain, black or tarry stools, high fever, cramping, nausea, or signs of dehydration. Prestige ER offers comprehensive pediatric emergency room services for child diarrhea, child fever, newborn emergencies, and more.

Migraines

Migraines can be very painful and make it impossible to go about your day. They’re more than just a headache—they’re extremely intense episodes of pain that may also lead to nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. These symptoms can last for hours or even days, leaving you feeling tired and frustrated, especially if regular medicine isn’t helping.

At Prestige ER, we know how hard it is to cope with a migraine. Our team is here to help you feel better, offering quick, effective treatments like IV fluids and pain relief medication in a calm, quiet space.

There is also evidence to suggest migraines can be associated with certain organ functions. We can help diagnose the root cause of your migraine problems with diagnostic liver, thyroid, and kidney function tests.
