Dr. Romo is originally from San Antonio Texas, earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at the university of Texas Austin before moving to Chicago and fulfilling its medical degree at the university of Illinois at Chicago. For your graduated and initially trained in preliminary General surgery and subsequently formal diagnostic radiology training in Manhattan before deciding to do a career shift and pursue emergency medicine. Dr Romo Completed his emergency medicine training at Hennepin County Medical Center, the 3rd oldest ER training program in the country. after working at a trauma center in San Jose, California and in Minnesota, he returned home to be with his father, Dr VM Romo, Sr and Mother Martha Romo. Victor met his wife and now is father to a rambunctious 2-year-old boy and brilliant 6-year-old daughter. While not in the ER, you may find him planning his next trip, surviving a day out with the kids, or working on his next backyard project. Dr Romo is fluent in both English and Spanish and looks forward to meeting the goals and overcoming the challenges of patients that call NE San Antonio their home.
