Dr. Mario B. Fernandez MD is a native Texan from the San Antonio area. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Brown University in Providence Rhode Island, then attended Medical School at the University of Illinois Chicago graduating in 2007. Dr. Fernandez remained in Chicago for his Emergency Medicine Residency training and was Chief Education Resident at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chief Resident at Mercy Hospital, and was the 2010 recipient of the Golden Hammer award. His pastimes include hunting, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
