Dr. Wright is a dedicated Emergency Medicine physician based in San Antonio, TX. Originally from San Antonio, Dr. Wright served six years in the Marine Corps as a Spanish Linguist before transitioning to a career in medicine. Following his service, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He went on to earn his Medical Doctor (MD) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2007.
Dr. Wright completed his Emergency Medicine residency in Corpus Christi, TX, from 2007 to 2010. Since 2008, he has been practicing independently in Emergency Medicine in numerous different settings, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a proud member of the Bexar County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. With a special interest in the administrative aspects of healthcare, Dr. Wright is committed to providing the highest quality of care at the lowest possible cost, ensuring that healthcare resources are preserved for those in need. His approach to patient care emphasizes what is best for the patient; not what generates the most revenue. Dr. Wright is dedicated to offering an excellent concierge level experience, treating every patient with the kindness and respect they deserve.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Wright enjoys spending time with his wife and five kids, wake surfing, and caring for their diverse collection of pets, including, three dogs, two horses, three donkeys, and three goats. He believes the most important aspects of emergency medicine are the availability of care, rapid evaluation, and treatment, and fully understanding the patient’s situation during their time of need.
